The story of the notorious Confederate prisoner of war camp, "Andersonville" is told in this 1996 TV movie. Built to hold 8,000 prisoners but filled with nearly 33,000, thousands of Union soldiers perished in this South Georgia camp during the Civil War. John Frankenheimer directs; William H.
