"Grizzly," a 1976 feature about a fifteen-foot-tall grizzly bear that terrorizes a state park, was shot near Clayton, Georgia, and stars Christopher George, Andrew Prine, and Richard Jaeckel. The film's director, William Girdler, made nine films in six years before dying in a helicopter accident at the age of 30. His other projects included the Pam Grier vehicle "Sheba Baby" and "The Manitou," released posthumously.
