Miss Evers' Boys


"Miss Evers' Boys" is a 1997 HBO movie about the 40-year Tuskegee Experiment, in which over 400 African American men with syphilis thought they had volunteered for a treatment study but were instead untreated by the federal government and monitored as they suffered through the disease. The film starred Laurence Fishburne and Alfre Woodard, who won a Golden Globe for her role, and filmed in Porterdale, Atlanta and Covington, Georgia.
